APIS encourages the deposit of survey data from the fields of Sociology, Political Science and Social Psychology. However, any social science researcher can offer data to APIS.
How to deposit?
You can find an overview about how to prepare data and documentation for submission in APIS here. To ensure data reuse, depositors must provide the dataset and all documentation needed to fully understand it.
In order to provide us with more information, please fill the metadata form. This deposit requirement allows acknowledging the research team, providing more information about the project and adding related publications to the data.
In order to achieve full digital preservation, please sign the declaration of deposit. This document allows APIS to preserve and disseminate the deposited data and informs you about the archive’s responsibilities. Access levels and embargo periods are also defined in the declaration of deposit.
In the end, the depositor must have gathered the following items:
- Metadata form
- Declaration of deposit
Depositors may then submit all the information by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your data does not fit into the above requirements, APIS is available to help you out in preparing the package of information to be archived.
